What Happens When You Stop Having Sex?


There are many reasons your sex life may have hit a brick wall. Maybe you are going through a breakup. Or maybe you’re overwhelmed by life, kids, and work.

According to a 2001 study, if you used to have sex and now you aren’t, you could become more prone to depression and disappointment.

Sexual in-activeness affects your well-being in various ways–from decreased concentration and feeling sad, to the lack of libido. Here are some changes you could experience when you stop having sex.


First, the bad news..
- Being upset about not having sex can cause you anxiety, stress and depression.
-The chance of catching cold is higher.
- The odds that you will forget something will increase.
- Sex has been shown to increase cognitive function, including memory, in mice and rats.


Long-term Abstinence may result in:
1. Atrophy of the vaginal and hip muscles.
2. Vaginal muscle can become hypersensitive and contract during intercourse.

-Men and Women who stop having sex may experience a decrease in Libido. 

-Masturbation can diminish some of these effects.
-Men who have sex at least twice a week are about half as likely to die from heart decease.


Now, the good news..
-You immediately cut down your risk for sexual transmitted diseases and unwanted pregnancy.
- Women will probably get less urinary tract infections.
- You will learn to explore and pleasure your own body.
- You will have more time in the day.
- You might have a wet dream or two.

Other than that your body will eventually find a way.
