Artificial intelligence

AI is the explanation (of why something works or happens the way it does) and development of computer systems able to (do/complete) tasks that (usually/ in a common and regular way)require human intelligence, such as visual perception, speech recognition, decision-making, and translation between languages.

Yet we are learning a lot about it and it is not made by nature/fake intelligence (AI) is intelligence showed by machines. In computer science, the field of AI research defines itself as the study of "smart agents": any device that perceives its (surrounding conditions) and takes actions that (make as big as possible) its chance of success at some goal.[1] (like an everyday expression), the term "(not made by nature/fake)intelligence" is applied when a machine imitates/copies "thinking-related" functions that humans spend time with/talk to other human minds, such as "learning" and "problem-solving".

BENEFITS & RISKS OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
"Everything we love about city/people is a product of intelligence, so increasing our human intelligence with (not made by nature/fake) intelligence has the (possible power or ability within/possibility of) helping city/people wave/grow/decoration like never before - as long as we manage to keep the technology helpful."

WHY RESEARCH AI SAFETY?
In the near term, the goal of keeping AI's hit/effect on (community of people/all good people in the world) helpful (gives a reason to do something) research in many areas, from money flow/money-based studies and law to technical topics such as checking (for truth), (something is truly what it claims to be), security and control. Whereas it may be little more than a minor annoyance if your laptop crashes or gets hacked, it becomes all the more important that an AIsystem does what you want it to do if it controls your car, your airplane, your pacemaker, your automated trading system or your power grid. Another (for only a short time) challenge is preventing a terrible and destructive (contest to see who can collect the most guns, etc.) in deadly self-ruling weapons.

MYTHS ABOUT ADVANCED AI
A fascinating conversation is happening about the future of (not made by nature/fake)intelligence and what it will/should mean for people/(the kindness of people). There are fascinating argument-causing events where the world's leading experts disagree, such as AI's future hit/effect on the job market; if/when human-level AI will be developed; whether this will lead to an intelligence explosion; and whether this is something we should welcome or fear. But there are also many examples of boring almost-argument-causing events caused by people(mistake in understanding) and talking past each other. To help ourselves focus on the interesting argument-causing events and open questions -- and not on the misunderstandings --let's clear up some of the most common very old stories/untrue stories.
